June is here and Best of the Best’s resident gloomy Gus, Andrew, is ready to ring it in with open arms. The guys talk about June Gloom here on Best of the Best, and then get distracted by YouTube videos as Mark talks about art. It’s a real barnburner. It’s a real fire hazard in the blimp for this week’s Best of the Best, as Andrew celebrates his 31st birthday. And both of the guys are celebrating Episode 115 of Best of the Best: Born Again. Mark and Andrew discuss their inevitable deaths, Bruce Springsteen and valium. Also, did I mention our inevitable deaths? Because that’s something to keep in mind. Uhhh, maybe not the best choice of picture. But, it's too late now.

Uhhh, maybe not the best choice of picture. But, it’s too late now.

Don’t call it a comeback. Because we might owe some money to the estate of LL Cool J. Just call it a return to form, as Best of the Best makes its triumphant reappearance. You know the drill: Mark and Andrew will talk about three Best Ofs, and decide who is the most right. Lots at stake. Also, we figure out how much we owe in back rent on the garage we’ve been storing the zeppelin in. Head in and bask in the nostalgia by clicking the play button below to listen or download the episode directly right here.

In a stunning season finale, Episodic Memories hits the road to bask in the superhero stupor of “Marvel Universe Live!” A traveling stage show featuring characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine and The Hulk, we get front row seats to find out how many motorcycles get driven and which superhero has the best kickflip (the results MAY surprise you). Andrew and Mark also discuss the giddy glee of getting nearby children to dislike you. As a brief programming note, this will be the last Episodic Memories for a little bit, but fret not, there’s still plenty of material coming down the pipe. In fact, we’re switching back to a weekly format for the summer. Get excited and listen in by clicking here and let us know what you think, if you wouldn’t mind.

Who's gettin' leveraged this time? The results MAY surprise you.

Who’s gettin’ leveraged this time? The results MAY surprise you.

The day is finally here! After years of slowing trying to piece together ideas from billboards and half-viewed commercials, Episodic Memories finally figures out what the hell is TNT’s “Leverage.” Mark and Andrew don’t get mad, they get even as they review this hour-long “Mission: Impossible” homage about leveraging, people about to leverage and other fulcrum-related activities. Put on your finest pork pie hat and settle in for the zaniest heist since that time the Apple Dumpling Gang robbed Caesar’s Palace. Listen in by clicking here and let us know what you think, if you wouldn’t mind.

Keep it real. And appearance.

Keep it real. And appearance.

We take a look across the pond this week on Episodic Memories, with posh accents and driving all up on the wrong side of the road. Andrew and Mark do our best to present ourselves as the upper class chaps we are as we look at BBC flagship “Keeping Up Appearances.” Join us as we investigate mystery laugh tracks, meandering sight gags and weird reaction shots. You know, British shows. Wot wot. Honey nut cheerios and what not. Grab your crumpets, put on your beefeater hat, then listen in by clicking here and let us know what you think, if you wouldn’t mind.

With the passing of writer Sam Simon, Andrew and Mark opt to dig into Mr. Simon’s back catalogue, past all of that quote unquote “really great television” like “The Simpsons,” “Taxi,” and “The Tracy Ullman Show.” Instead, we focus our attention on the one-season 1993 ABC sitcom “Phenom,” co-created by Sam Simon. Andrew and Mark serve up some observations on this tennis-based family comedy, like “Who are these people?” and “Why were there laughs after that line?” We also get to see guest appearances from television’s Ed McMahon, George Burns and the Mom from That 70’s Show. What fun!  Grab your racket, plant your feet then listen in by clicking here and let us know what you think, if you wouldn’t mind.

Captain’s Log. Stardate 5.55.136. Our view screen just flipped on and started showing “Star Trek: The Animated Series,” so we thought, “Hey, what the hell? Let’s watch this, yeah?” So, that’s what we did. Andrew and Mark explore the cheaply animated worlds all around this galaxy and learn a lot of important space lessons, like how to make a 20-foot clone of yourself and how to choke out a plant man. Settle into your captain’s chair, replicate yourself some popcorn, then listen in by clicking here and let us know what you think, if you wouldn’t mind.
